For anyone who has received a grant, how long did it take to receive the list of approved providers? I received an email today my kid was approved for a grant and to watch for an email soon with more info.

I’d read the fine print, but I don’t think so. Talk to your tutor (presumably now on the approved list). The program only started in late April, so I don’t think tutors can bill for services before they were approved.

If you contact tutors in your area or are willing to work with someone online, I think you’ll find quite a few would be delighted to work with you to come up with a way to help you spend $750 on tutoring for the summer.

It’s per kid. Applied for both kids and each was approved for $1500.

They sent another one a few days ago reminding people, I applied online (just had to upload proof of VA residency) and they already approved my family for the grant like two days later. If you have low HHI, you can get $3,000, but have to upload your tax return.

I thought it would be more complicated to apply and be approved for it, but apparently it isn't.

The website says you will receive the list of approved for the grant.
