DD who is at Blair says all the NMSF were from the SMAC program her year, all of the more than 40. I don't think all of them do every year but nearly all of them.

This shows true when the National Merit SemiFinalists come out. English is doubled (so it’s more important) and yet still Blair beats all the other schools. However, RMIB is a great program in a beautiful school.

I think it would be a mistake to assume all of the NMSFs at Blair always come from SMAC. I know three kids who turned down RMIB for CAP, based either on proximity or just a desire to focus more deeply on media and language arts.
