If you can't even do that, how are you going to volunteer for your team?
I actually quite like this thread. People helping people. Makes it way easier to find a vacancy for a team. Why do you care if other people are perfectly happy to post what they know?
Anonymous wrote:OP, the time to look for pools is in March, not a week before they open. That said, you can usually find openings at places like Sleepy Hollow, Graham Road, etc.

Don't discount pools in the Colonial league either. I don't know how it works, but apparently Knights of Columbus in Arlington has openings every year. I'm sure there are others.

+1 this isn't an easy task since most pools have waitlists so it can take a long time to find one. It makes sense to gather this info here! I actually found Forest Hollow as one to look at without a potential waitlist from an older DCUM post and was very grateful!

Anonymous wrote:you need to identify a geographic area- I seriously doubt that someone who lives in arlington is going to be trekking out to edsall park in springfield to join a division 17 nvsl swim team. That being said, in general, the pools in springfield have space- there is a glut of pools in that area- and the pools in arlington/ close in falls church/ mclean- do not.
there are a couple of closer in exceptions- I think McLean Swim and Tennis still has memberships available.
