I would either need 2 or 3 tickets since her younger sister - who isn’t as much of a fan but still loves her - would probably be devastated and never forgive us if we didn’t take her too. The cheapest tix are @1800 each and that’s usually for bad seats.

FYI there are no bad seats at this show.

Aren't they selling obstructed seats?

Well those are going for ONLY 600 or so. The 1800 may be high up but still amazing views.

Right now Stubhub has tickets behind the stage for $1,700.

I love Taylor. I went Sunday in Nashville and I stayed up until 1:30 AM in the rain, got three hours of sleep, caught a flight home, and had an absolute BLAST. I wouldn't pay $1,800/person for the experience though.

No, I’m not insane. And I’m only even somewhat considering it because all of our needs (including her college fund) are fully met. But I still think it’s insane and I am trying to not raise completely spoiled kids.

It’s ridiculous. I don’t think they’ll come down. Save your money and skip it.

While we could technically afford them I don’t want to pay that on principle and I also want my daughter to understand that sometimes there are disappointments in life. She is offering to babysit her siblings in exchange for tickets (she’s offered 600 hours of “free” babysitting) but I don’t think she fully understands what that would mean.
So… does anyone think the ticket prices will come down at all for the NJ shows?

You only live once and she will remember you forever as the great mom who made her youth dream come true.
64 year old guy here.

They won't come down much if at all - you're looking at at least $5-6k for tickets, hotel, meals... sounds completely insane to me. How old is your DD? A year or two from now she may have moved on from Taylor Swift. FOMO is fueling a lot of this.

Yes, I completely realize this. We live in nyc so we wouldn’t have to travel but $6k for 3 tickets seems completely nuts to me (as does 2k for 1 ticket!!).

No they’re $1800 too. Show them to me for 600 and I’d be very happy to buy them.

How much does the average person pay to go?
