I think the floral headpieces on Kate and Charlotte are pretty and modern BUT I think it's ridiculous to have had them made given how much freaking jewelry they have at their disposal. And then I read on Twitter that they are saying it was part of a "going green" theme that is supposed to be part of Charles' reign? That makes no sense -- having a new piece of jewelry made when you have loads of existing jewelry is not "green" just because the new jewelry looks like a glittery plant.

One of the main things the coronation wardrobe did was make Charles and Camilla look even older than they are, and make William and Kate look youthful and really regal, and I can't help but wonder if this was by [someone's] design. I am anti-monarchy so I hope the whole thing falls apart, but Charles really does not come off looking like the face of anything "new" here. As a casual observer, Kate seems like the sartorial star of the event, followed by Princess Anne, which can't be what Charles (or Camilla) wants.
