This is kind of a dumb statement. And "do it yourself" is usually a fair thing to say when you're talking to volunteers, I agree. But coaching is not the same thing as volunteering at the school events. You need experience and capability to coach. I know that -I- would certainly not have that. But, that doesn't mean I don't get an opinion on the coach of my kid's team. Sorry, I'm paying for it so yeah, I get an opinion. It may not be one, like OP, that I express beyond my own home. But, I don't need to volunteer to do something I'm not capable to doing, just to have that opinion.
