So you did not receive a bid. My condolences.
Hah! Nope. No sororities at my Ivy.

She also shared stories of girls who wouldn't pose for pictures during HS senior week with old friends who were a bit alternative and didn't have the right sorority "look" because they didn't want it posted on social media as it might jeopardize their recruitment chances.
I know this is not true of all Southern schools, and not representative of all people who rush, but in 2023, this is truly discouraging and despicable behavior that places me firmly in the anti-Greek camp.
I don't think I'll watch.

In some ways these women are very smart not to compete with men, to stay firmly in their own lanes, and to become leaders of only other women, and not try to be leaders of men. The U.S. will not accept women as leaders of men.

Is that what it is? Always wondered what the draw is? It seems silly.

DP. I thought if you fully participated in formal recruitment/rush, did all the visits you were supposed to, ranked every house that you were still in for at every round, that you were guaranteed a bid somewhere? That’s how my college did it at any rate, granted Greek life was NOT as big of a thing there. And half the houses wouldn’t have a full pledge class anyway so you could get in by informal recruitment in the winter too. I guess my point is people make it a big dramatic thing but if your only goal is to get a bid SOMEWHERE and just be in Greek Life … you can follow the rules to the letter and get that bid.
