Yeah, not 495, but 395 on the way back from a field trip to the National Gallery. Guy driving with a map in his lap, then removed it and flashed us. Not sure he appreciated a bunch of HS girls laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe.

Not really funny but I met a future girlfriend while stopped on 495 because the Woodrow Wilson bridge was opened. She had got out and sitting on hood smoking a cig so struck up a conversation and went from there.

On the turnpike a couple of years ago saw a truck carrying a dumpster that was on fire. It was basically 2020 in a nutshell metaphor.

Not the funniest but… Wearing a mask while driving alone.

Dude was blasting a few Too Short songs while lip syncing in perfect sync with the esteemed Oakland rapper. Yes, this was in Maryland.

Reading a newspaper
Eating breakfast cereal (bowl and spoon)
Curling eyelashes

All of these at the wheel, while moving at speed, so not really that funny.

I saw a lady do this in downtown DC. Traffic was literally not moving. She popped out of car, squatted, pulled underwear to side and urinated in street. Speaking military vehicles, one time in the 90s, the day before the Andrews AFB air show was going to start, there were a lot of interesting military planes flying overhead. I was working on a high floor of an office building overlooking 495. Of particular interest was the B2 Stealth Bomber that flew three laps above the beltway so everyone could have a show. We spent the whole afternoon watching cool planes from the window.
