Agree. They’re the best.

Which is exactly what an ice cream cake should be. I can’t stand actual cake in my ice cream cake: the cake is kind of gross when it’s all frozen. The point of an ice cream cake is that it is made out of ice cream.

Any recommendation on the best store bought ice cream cake? I'm looking at Ben & Jerry's, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins and Thomas Sweet.

I don't think I can't stand for this disrespect of a Carvel cake. it's a classic

Agreed. I grew up in the same town as Tom Carvel and we had one of their flagship stores in our town. I went to school with his grand kids. This is a sacrilege! 😀

Where are you located? Toby’s does a great job, and so does Jakes Ice Cream off Columbia pike. I’ve never tried cold stone, but I’ve heard good things.

We do Dairy Queen ice cream cakes. They are good and they have a wide selection (at least at the store where we buy them).

+1, I find the ice cream "cakes" with no cake so disappointing.

I find the ice cream cakes with frozen “cake” inedible.

Dairy Queen is the classic.

I agree..who wants to eat frozen cake.

My DC likes to “customize” his ice cream cake on Cold Stone creamery website. You can pick ice cream flavors, crunchies, frosting etc. He looks forward to it every year
