I think Kristin Mink is in the wrong line of work because her passion seems to be LGBTQ and trans rights. And I think she should be heading up a national advocacy group. As far as being a state senator? I don’t see that in her future.

I voted for Hogan twice for governor but no way I’m voting R for senate.
Same. I did not vote for him at all, but in a local election, I would vote for him over someone like Jawando any day. But I won't vote for a Republican at the national level.

But if the field gets large enough, we will probably elect a super progressive in the primary. and then Hogan will defeat them in the general. that’s my worry anyway.

Jawando office-shopped to get onto the council. He ran for D20 delegate, ran for Congress in D8, and then landed on the council. But in the general he was the 4th highest vote getter of the 4 at-large so I'm not thinking he has a great path forward.

He probably doesnt care, but in theory the risk for him would be pissing off the state party, and hurting himself for future chances when its "his turn".
Either way he has no chance- so he would hurt himself by losing (again) in a congressional/senate campaign.
