Oh sweetie….women don’t marry the guys they meet in college these days. They marry the ones they meet in law/med/ business/ graduate school.

Because of DEI you no longer have as large a pool at any institution elite or not. It is all part of the plan to dismantle the nuclear family.

I actually couldn’t find anyone good to date until I got out of my elite, insular SLAC. God those people were self-absorbed.

Where's that vomit emoji when you need it?

By the way PP, just have your kid join a top, top frat/sorority (if they can get in.) The 2020s version of Buffy/Kip still lives on there.

+1 because we need that vomit emoji.

I wonder if this is the same person who occasionally does some version of this same topic in the college forum, harping on how college students should be dating with an intention of landing a spouse with a specific kind of pedigree. Antique thinking and oblivious to the realities of dating and marrying today.

Same reason people downplay the even greater advantages of a boob job in dating.

I assume it's much more likely my kids will marry someone they meet in grad school. That is the case for most of my friends who didn't meet through work or some post -college social activity. I don't know that many people who married someone from undergrad.

Like how much money you really make it’s there but not discussed.

Assortative mating is not a good thing. Too many ugly nerds. See, e.g., DMV.

Because it’s highly unlikely to even get accepted to an elite school.

They better… dating scene gets much more difficult and awful after college.

But dating indiscriminately just because one is in college?? It’s a recipe to become a man whore or a cum bucket.

Good judgement is always required to find a quality spouse.

Do you hold young men to the same standards or are you just a misogynist?

I don't really understand how calling out whore-ish behavior is considered misogyny.
Most people don't like dating skanks. I'm not sure that has anything to do with misogyny.

You are clearly not a college "guy."

I want my kids to go to schools that are a good fit socially, where they will meet lots of potential friends and dating partners. Eventually, I hope they'll have loving partners or spouses, not necessarily elite ones.

Judging by your post, I doubt that you should be lecturing others about good judgment.

i just returned from admitted student/parent day at an Ivy and even considering the selection bias of who attends those, there is clearly no shortage of elite, rich kids getting in these days.
