It has greatly frustrated teachers as it was very sudden and the decision was made after most summer school positions had been filled. Us teachers have been told not to tell parents yet- though I am not sure why.

True, but it came as a surprise to tutors and families who already had planned their summer. Even if MCPS starts tutoring again from September 2023, I don't know tutors will return after this.
What are you talking about? It's through a very large tutoring company. They will just get reassigned to other school districts/students.
We did plan our summer with these tutors.
We still haven't gotten an email.
The vast majority of jobs ive been offered have been through MCPS. A few from LAUSD.
May I ask how much Tutor Me Education pays to tutors? I am thinking I will have to pay it myself. If parents offer to pay, would you be interested? Thanks.

Taxpayer money going to a private company to pay tutors. Instead of boosting our public schools.
