Um, maybe because it costs a lot, and we are all paying for this ridiculous “equity theater?”
I thought it was OK to just rename a dozen FFX schools. Then I learned it costs $500,000 to $1,000,000 to rename. PER SCHOOL. That money would buy a lot of laptops, library books, or pay teacher salaries (maybe even reduce class sizes??).
So sick of the woke school administrators wasting money like this, while simultaneously whining about lack of funds for basic education.
Again, why is this about equity? Why do you think it costs schools money?
You didn’t know the current school Board repeatedly emphasized their top priority is equity?

10 to 1 the PTA paid for the animals to visit or it was a volunteer thing. I think it is nice that there are novel opportunities for kids at school. It puts a smile on their faces and helps take their mind of other things for a bit. If it is happening during lunch or break times then it is not taking away from classes. It sounds great to me.

My school had miniature pigs last year. It was free—the owner donated her time and knowledge and kids could pet them during lunches.
