That sounds on the low side to me. Looks pretty good.

Op is this a brag?

I am sure you will find a way to survive the pain of people telling you that you are skinny at 5 foot 4 and 130 lbs. I know it is unusual that someone has to overcome such a difficult struggle, but I am confident that you can do it.

Well, okay. I don't think thunder thighs have ever been out of style, especially not in 2023.

Not every woman can achieve that muscular look in her thighs. It doesn't mean we're under-eating or skinny fat. I don't care how much pasta I eat and how many squats I do, I will never have thunder thighs.

Are you under the mistaken impression that “thunder thighs” is a compliment or that they’re desirable? Pink wanted to post that photo, but she knew there would be people who would be critical and point out how big her thighs look. She was trying to head that off by owning her big thighs and telling people that their size doesn’t bother her because they’re strong and she likes who she is. She doesn’t think bigger thighs should be hidden. You took a body positive post and turned it into an insult about people who don’t have big thighs. Pink wasn’t saying everyone should have big thighs or that people with slender thighs are weak.

Being skinny has never been out of style, not even in 2023. But here you are blathering.

The post was from 2020, and Pink was water surfing. It popped up somewhere in my newsfeed today.

You need to stop comparing yourself to other women. Some women are muscular and proud of the way they look, some tall, some thick, some fat. They can like the way they look AND you can like the way you look.

We are too old to think looking “good” can only be one thing.[/quote]

It’s really sad that you’re so old and still don’t have any peace about your shape.

I’m pretty thin and get some comments, although mostly just incorrect assumptions that I follow a rigid diet and am very strict about food and exercise (quite the opposite!)

I’ve leaned into it. I buy styles they flatter and show off my frame. The rare “eat something comments” don’t bother me. It can be very tough to lose weight and people who have struggled with that for years can project onto you that you are working too hard to maintain your size. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

Embrace your size and don’t take those kinds of comments personally. Being healthy and happy is enough, you don’t need to internalize off hand comments from people.

I have a totally different body from OP but I also struggle with other people commenting that I'm "skinny" or saying stuff like "you're so fit" or "I bet you never have to exercise" because of a misperception of my body. Not because I'm trying to lose weight to look skinny, but because sometimes I am trying to address a fitness or diet issue and people will disregard it because I look skinny to them.

I am tall and small boned, I carry weight in a way that other people can't really see if I'm wearing clothes. I know how to dress to flatter my body and I do that because who wouldn't? But people make a lot of assumptions about my health and fitness, or will assume I have an ED, based on what they think my weight or body type is. The truth is they don't know.

I know it's not as big of a deal as the way people with larger bodies are treated -- I'm not complaining exactly. There are benefits to people thinking you are thin and fit even when you aren't. But it does frustrate me and I especially dislike when people think they can tell me how to eat or try to convince to do something or not do something based on their uneducated understanding of my physical health.

The takeaway is just: don't comment on people's bodies, and don't assume you know someone's health or fitness situation just by looking at them.

Are you sure that people aren’t just trying to be nice and give you a complement? You don’t sound like you look unhealthy or particularly skinny. People aren’t thinking about your body as much as you think they are. It’s probably just idle chat to pass the time. I doubt they care much about your weight.
