OP here. In that case, my child would switch schools. But I won't endure the shame and guilt you seem to desire for me. Sorry! And obviously we wouldn't be so stupid as to rent to someone who wants to put their kids at BCC. Maybe we wouldn't actually rent it out, but give it to my older child to live in (house still in our name).

That's an idea, actually. If my oldest lives in the house, and we're in and out all the time, it would simplify things. The neighbors would still see all of us (we've all been here since our kids were little - I highly doubt they'd tell on us anyway).

I realize you have been paying taxes for years, but so have the other residents. How will you keep up this charade for years (depending on what grade your child is in)? Going forward, no car pools, no kids coming to your house, not to mention your kid is mixed into the lie. Your plan seems risky.

Property ownership is not the relevant factor. (Neither is paying taxes.) Residence is. OP's tenants' children (if any) would be assigned to B-CC; OP's children would not.

OP, if you don't care if what you're doing is legal, then just go ahead and do whatever. No need to ask on DCUM.

Me too. Imagine if everyone thought the rules didn’t apply to them.

If your kid is in or is planning to be in BCC's IB diploma program, that would be a legitimate reason for a COSA to be granted, since that would not be available at Churchill or Whitman.

I think it would be better if you asked the school. Then you can go from there. What grade is your child in? And a previous poster is correct, what if you rent the home to someone who has a kid at your kid’s school? They would have the same address.

The replies in this thread are so amazingly stupid. I've never lived anywhere where people called in others for behaviors like this nor have I ever met anyone who actually cares.
