How tf are you going to take a skateboard to Europe?
you’re not . My point is not all 10 yo girls like the same thing. Someone else suggested an American Girl doll. My 10yo DD would never touch it, she loved the books a couple of years ago but dolls? Hard no.

The idea of something 'American' is a good one.

Like a Yankees hat, or a Cowboys t-shirt

Sounds like she's trying to impress the parents, and that's fine.

This is a strange choice, but I wonder if it's like the Gucci watches that had the interchangeable color bezels and were super popular in the 90s? Those are huge in my kid's schools (one in public and one in private). But the girls all wear their mom's old watches. I donated mine ages ago to my daughters' dismay. Maybe this particular Swatch watch is popular in the girl's country? I know Swatch watches continued to be popular in Europe long after they were no longer trendy in the USA.

How tf did you come up with a Swatch after all these suggestions?! Do you honestly think a 10 year old even knows who Thun is?
