I'll have to check this out. I love Gn' R but frankly, I'm astonished that they're all still alive, given the debauchery and sheer amount of substances they all consumed in their heyday. Some years ago, I read Duff McKagan's memoir "It's So Easy, and Other Lies" and enjoyed it. He is very lucky to be alive, having cheated death from alcoholic pancreatitis. It was inspiring to hear about how he clawed his life back and his continuing journey with sobriety.

I enjoyed Mackenzie Phillips' "High on Arrival." I never watched her show One Day at a Time and am only a casual fan of the Mamas and the Papas, but I found her book totally readable, despite the hideous subject matter (drug abuse, incest).

There is a special place in Hell for John Phillips and hopefully he is burning in it.

Tom Hanks wrote a book of short stories that is quite good.

Lucinda Williams’ memoir came out this week and is really good for any fan. A slim volume with little after 2009, but great background on Car Wheels.

I read that one right after reading Brooke Shields book, which made things super interesting since they both wrote about their relationship.

Jennette is a child actress from Nickelodeon's iCarly and Sam & Cat. I could not stop reading this book. It's very interesting and complex.

Bruce Springsteen's autobiography but the audio book, read by him. I only wish it included some music.
