If your "temporary residence" is outside of MCPS you must withdraw.
You just re-register when you return. This happens all the time when the numerous Central American students return to their country for a month or more, then return. The process is explained to them ahead of time, if they bother to inform the school of their plans.

Are you saying that VA is eventually going away? I thought it was here to stay as an option.
