Seems like the police know why the guy who did the stabbing is (and they have his car). Hope they don't charge him with anything.
I’m sad for the stabbed that his fate is in the USAO for saving that woman. He actually pondered for a moment as to whether he should intervene.

I deleted threads in which the original posters were celebrating the death of the man. That is unseemly and not something that I am going to allow.
OP, that article probably has more details than anything else I have seen about this incident and I've been actively looking for more information.
Why? What are you looking for?
I always try to be informed about controversial topics that will be posted here. People post a lot of BS and I like to have some basis for identifying it.
How is it controversial? News reported the man had some sort of club, went after the woman in her own car to try and take the car, and someone else defended her against the attacker with a knife.
I guess "controversial" is in the eye of the beholder. Why do you care if I research this topic or not? Don't you have something better to do then worry about what topics I think are controversial?
It’s not “researching” to delete threads on crime incidents. It’s taking part in the growing progressive thing where talking about crime in DC is bad and “promoting crime.” I’ve personally been called out for mentioning neighborhood crime on a listserv. To these progressives, discussing crime that *actually is happening* is “creating a narrative” that they think is “MAGA,” or something like that. This is the last gasp of the 2020 mania where even whispering a word in public about how police have a role in public safety could get you cancelled.

Anonymous wrote:What's crazy to me is that I do see a scenario that since she wasn't defending herself with a knife it's not self defense. That self defense doesn't extend to others saving someone that needs help? I'm not sure how the guy managed to kill him with a knife it seems like that's hard to do unless it was in the neck.

Vigilantism is really bad and it’s unfortunate that we are seeing it increase because people are losing faith.
That’s not vigilantism. That’s intervening to save another life.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Carjackings often end so horribly on either end. We need a carjacking task force and higher penalties to make carjackers think twice.
On either end? What is that supposed to mean?
Don’t need to celebrate death but also don’t need to make the carjacker out as a victim either.
