Whitman has a culture of hate crime. There have been a string of antisemitic incidents this year, and the W's have been plagued with similar issues in years past, like N* word cards or the kids in blackface. These are all well documented and should be available from the search function.

Because of the rubrics. Top kids figured out they could get a 54 on the final, get a B for the quarter, and combined with their A from the prior quarter, still get an A for the semester on their transcript. Meanwhile the data was showing kids failing finals. The fix: eliminate finals 🤦‍♀️

Because of the rubrics. Top kids figured out they could get a 54 on the final, get a B for the quarter, and combined with their A from the prior quarter, still get an A for the semester on their transcript. Meanwhile the data was showing kids failing finals. The fix: eliminate finals 🤦‍♀️
