Honestly, we had a long summer weekend at Mountain Lake Lodge (outside of Roanoke, VA) that fills these requirements. The main hotel is where they filmed Dirty Dancing. The cabins on the hotel grounds don't even have AC (but it stays cool at night even in the summer in this area due to elevation).

??

We go every summer and have never had a tick bite there and only a rare mosquito bite in low-lying wet areas.

I vote Bend, OR. Zero humidity. We stayed at Best Western Plus which had a full kitchen. Can do day trips to the volcano sights, hiking in Three Sisters, tubing on Deschutes, etc.

Second this.

You'll probably have to forgo the car or get a great deal for your budget. Maybe a bus from SEATAC - look for a cheap flight week.

It can be humid in the Finger Lakes. Not nearly as bad as here though.

NW - Vancouver/Seattle or Bend OR
MT/ID/Jackson - anything in this area is just beautiful.

On E Coast - Canada - Nova Scotia/QC and Montreal

The state of Alaska - can't really go wrong.

I mean it's pretty obvious, go as far North as you can!
