If anyone posting here is talking about having elementary kids or younger they are almost certainly older millennials (1982-1989ish).
I’m a solid 1972 Gen x’er and I’ve got an elementary schooler and a middle schooler. Of my closest DC friends who all had kids the same age, I was the middle of the pack for parental age. Having kids in your late 30s isn’t rare.
This is me! I have a 13 and 11 year old. Just turned 54 yesterday.

Some are just turning 40, and I have almost nothing in common with them besides kids. They are doctors and lawyers. When I was growing up, it was very rare for women to be doctors. I am so proud of my mom friends who are doctors!
