The McDonald's on the what? There's a McDonald's on Rockville Pike, but it's not in Bethesda, and there's also no 7-11. There are two McDonald's in Bethesda: one on River Road, which is not "the pike", and again, there's no 7-11 (it's next to Talbert's); the other in the Montgomery Mall food court (no "pike", no 7-11). There's a McDonald's on New Hampshire Avenue in White Oak, which is near (though not on) Columbia Pike, and there's a 7-11 across the road and down a ways.
Also, how do you "bus in" people to the housing that they live in?

Actually it’s due to poverty & lack of treatment for mental health issues.

There's a reason kids feel it's okay to randomly, violently attack strangers at malls, metro stops, etc. There's a reason. It's what they are being taught at home, on internet, on TV, in schools. What are they being taught? Religion is a joke to be mocked and name called, anger and violence is glorified in some contexts, big one here - external locus of control over their lives, etc. Wake up people. Our society is becoming like a violent criminal training camp. This will only get worse until we teach better.

You seem confused about where Bethesda is. There’s no “McDonald’s on the pike” in it.

It's not, a woman in town for a concert at Echostage was just stabbed to death in a hotel on NY Avenue.
The McD's sounds grim.

I have friends that graduated from W schools who are addicts.
Homeless and drug addicts are not new and blaming them on “housing” policy is laughable.
Stop giving your kids credit cards and no limits on spending . Stop going yo Europe thinking your teens are mature enough to be home alone. Stop spending your summer at the cape / Bethany and think it’s okay to leave your teens.
I don't care if the spitting drug addict beggars graduated from a W school. They're still spitting on the ground over and over, begging for money, picking at their scabs as we go into a McD's for food. It's gross, no matter where they graduated from school -- or do you think graduating from a W school makes any and all behavior a thing of beauty?
Go to the low income housing "projects" in Bethesda and see for yourself. Smashed beer bottles in the parking lots, plastic trash stuck in a tree waving in the breeze for 9 months before it disintegrates, ashtrays dumped out of car doors. It's gross. If you like that, fine, but most people move to the suburbs to escape that environment.
Move to a gated community, in the exburbs, with no public transportation, then.

Both Montgomery Mall and Pike and Rose have been attracting kids from east county to hang out on weekends. Montgomery Mall basically has the only movie theatre left downcounty making it a big draw for kids from all over. I know people in Silver Spring whose kids spend a lot of time hanging out in Bethesda. So this doesn’t surprise me.
It closed.
The Regal in DTSS? It didn’t close. I took my kids to see a movie there yesterday.

I don’t follow. You do understand that if there were no low income housing, it’s inhabitants would just be homeless, too?
