Yes. The movie Unhinged was also about road rage. But they are not redo's of each other.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:No, Changing Lanes is a drama/thriller. Aren’t they both about road rage? Beef delves into the family lives and a little about the participants’ upbringings and motivations. It was very good.
Yes. But from your impression of the first episode, it sounds like this just isn't your cup of tea. I have plenty of shows that were popular that I just couldn't get into. Schitt's Creek for example, tried to watch it twice. Could not get into it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Wanted to like it but couldn't get into the story, unlikable characters
I got bored during the first episode. So depressing. Characters are annoying.
I might try to get back into it to see if it picks up. Is there any humor to it, or is it all slow, dark, and a mix of despair and whining?

You should have kept going.

If you’re a fan, have you seen the movie Burning? I think it’s on Amazon streaming right now. I watched it because I’m a little obsessed with the main actor, but Steven Yuen was really good in his role too. Warning, though: it’s one of those movies where you have to pay close attention. I was the tiniest bit bored by the slow pace, but then the ending blew my mind and made me reconsider everything I had seen.
(And on the Beef front, I was afraid I’d hate the characters but then read a very strong review today about how well they’re drawn as full-fledged people with complicated personalities. So now I think I’m in!)
