It’s too bad stores like Barney’s and Henri Bendel are out of business bc they basically curated this stuff for you.

Club Monaco and Aritzia are for 20 year olds. My DD wears these and quality is just ok.

Theory and Vince are nice.

Also look at REISS

Reiss has gone way downhill in the last five years. The fabrics have become cheap and flimsy. I used to buy their dresses all the time, but no longer.

Reid’s has always been excellent styling and subpar quality unfortunately.

Just go with the clothes that you're drawn to! Wear the style that makes you happy and that you enjoy looking at, rather than 'subtle tasteful luxury' to impress other people.

Find the hoity toitiest neighborhood and find a boutique that looks like someone’s elegant home. They’ll have many of these brands plus ones we’re missing.

Just wear clothes that fit you properly; there is something very attractive about being yourself, and reveling in your own style. When you worry about what the Jones (or DCUM, in this case) thinks, it comes off as inauthentic, trying too hard, or just plain gauche. Do you, baby!
