In what way is your home set up better than in the office? Mine certainly isn’t, with high speed printing being the biggest thing I lack at home.

Meanwhile, thousands of hours are lost in productive time commuting, not to mention the environmental damage caused by the commute and utilities.
The only people benefitting are the those who own the parking garage.
The whole thing is a big joke and a gigantic waste of time. I. In a sane, responsible society, those responsible for this idiocy would be fired.

So sick of the whiny babies making so much more than the rest of the government still complaining about their more generous telework policy.
NP. It’s not complaining. It’s just not useful at all to come in.
It’s absolutely complaining. I work at a different FinReg. It would be useful if you all chose to make it useful but you don’t. There is absolute use to being in person around your coworkers. There is also use to working from home most of the time. Both of these things can be true. It’s subjective. You’re asked to come in once every other week. It’s not a big deal.
It’s twice in two weeks. Makes a big difference.

somehow they are going to have to restack all of the non-contractors in sp3, as well as all of the new hires, in the next couple months since the plan is for sp3 to be empty by june for the rest of the physical handover.
the equipment is a lot shittier than what I have at home, so between the flickering overhead lights and the slightly blurry monitors I end my in-office day with a migraine. otoh, at least i only need to come in two days a pay period. under the previous CBA, I'd be stuck at only two days of telework a week for basically ever.
This id one of my biggest issues. My stuff at home is just so much better.
And yet we all seemed to manage just fine in the office before the pandemic.
I disagree, i think we were less efficient and productive then.
And to the specific point about tech, tech demands have changed significantly over the pandemic and tech in general has improved, but what's in the office is pre pandemic govt purchase. So yes of course someone's home setup is better.
I actually feel for management (a little) because I think they're well aware that productivity will take a hit with RTO but politically they couldn't stomach the union position or full remote.
