Why? ACPS schools are terrible and unsafe. Why bother even if the schools in their area are terrible and unsafe?
No idea why but our ACPS elementary school is close to the WW bridge to Maryland and our drop-off/pick-up lines are full of Maryland license plates. It's definitely not a myth.

The classic Millennial thinking they had happened upon a "quaint" environment that apparently nobody else had discovered, without sitting down and checking out the reason WHY they could still afford to buy a house there at that time.
We are both Gen Xers. And we are from major cities and attended urban public schools. We grew up in urban public schools, but they had order, discipline, and high expectations. Our home is over $1M so I don't know who you think can "still afford that". To me, that is an expensive home, no matter the cost of living.

I am a teacher and it is a problem and should be reported. Overcrowding is an issue. We have kids that do this a LOT in Arlington. it is common in FCPS to get into certain pyramids - fake addresses etc.

To those that are not paying the taxes (living in one jurisdiction over another) to those that are self imposing gerrymandering with fake addresses to be in a different pyramid. Schools and school systems would probably would equal out more if parents (who rules don't apply to them) would go to the school where they actually live and be in the community.

Op says the family just moved to that home. The kids are probably just finishing out their school year. Reporting them at this point seems stupid and cruel.

Better schools? ACPS? That's a joke, right? I'd rather send my kid to Mount Vernon than ACHS (the old TC Williams). I'm sure the first few PPs were correct that the new kid is just finishing out the year and then will move to their FCPS school.
OP should have just stayed out of it. What difference does it make to her? If she's in a well-regarded FCPS school, then those kids aren't causing more overcrowding this year. If she's in a crappy FCPS school, then simply looks spiteful (and ignorant, since she apparently thinks the ACPS schools are better).

I agree!!! REPORT IT ALL DAY LONG OP. You know who's crying about it on here calling you Karen, saying things like "don't hate the player hate the game" Thieves. People who steal what is not theirs which is schools NOT in their district and not EVEN IN THEIR OWN STATE!!! Stealing taxes is what it is!
