I would especially like to hear if Miranda will stand up to the state. Her group, APE, was the only group that did not push back when Youngkin took away local school divisions' ability to require masks or use virtual schooling during outbreaks.

I think she's going to have a hard time with this. She has DINOs and Rs in her base who are very pro Youngkin.

Did you look at the new standards? They're fine.

These are state standards. Not optional.

Meh, we'll see. Just ignore them and teach things properly. It's like when soldiers refuse to follow illegal orders. Valid.

If McAuliffe had been elected, they might still have masks in schools. They definitely would have closed down again after cases hit a new record.

There was a bipartisan state bill forcing schools open well before the election, but I guess y’all forget that. Anyway, Mcauliffe is business before everything so the notion that he’d have extended a situation that might hurt his primary constituency is laughable.

Perhaps they removed fascism to protect Woodrow Wilson.

Not sure what you’re suggesting with this comment. The standards are used to shape curriculum.

a

How does one contextualize WWII without discussing fascism?

Synonyms

Considering that conservatives think liberal, progressive, socialist and communist are all the same thing, and those are also somehow the REAL fascism, I don’t think “synonyms” are going to cut it.

What content have progressives removed? Because I see the opposite, conservatives taking topics and books off the shelves.
