Eating the ginger right now! They are surprisingly fantastic.

The chocolate chip seem to have degraded but their seasonal ginger snap cookies are spectacular.

They were bought by a bottom-feeding Wall Street conglomerate in 2018:

The first time I tried them I thought they were great. That was eight years ago. Last week I bought another bag and found them to be nothing more than mediocre -- only a mere scattering of chocolate chips, and no buttery flavor at all. Just dry, dull and certainly not worth the $$ charged for a measly 14 cookies per bag. A total rip-off, and like everything else today, skimping on quality in order to up profit. I'm done with Tate's.

Nope. Just bland overpriced cookies.

I had some just the other day and they were buttery and delicious as usual.

They've always been bland to me. Bought once years ago, never again.

I also hadn't had them in a long time, but picked some up the other day. I did think they weren't buttery in the same way but still decent for store-bought cookies and better than most alternatives.

You might want to check your Covid status because we just bought some and they were delicious!

I haven’t had them in a while, but the ginger cookies and the lemon cookies were excellent. They were always very flavorful and nicely crisp.
