Yes, but those people don’t count in the 500. The PP is pointing out that last year 500 students were invited to interview, 170 matched, and 211 were waitlisted. What happened to the other 119? I agree with the PP that some likely interviewed, but ranked Banneker or Duke (or some other school) ahead of Walls. Also, I think some students drop out of the pool because they decline the interview.

How many do they actually interview out of the 500 invited?
