What do you think they should be doing about it that they aren't?

I'm speculating, but I would bet they aren't addressing head-on the anti-semitism from people like Kanye or Dave Chappelle.

They see their role models engage in things like that and its not addressed, so they feel comfortable doing the same

Their "role models" -- apart from their parents -- are more likely to be Instagram, Tik Tok or YouTube influencers than Kanye or Dave Chappelle.

And I'm not letting off the white nationalists egged on by Trump and his ilk the way you seem to be.

Parents play a huge role in children's behavior and its a huge problem when parents start to check out come ES.

This is very true I'm sorry to say. The anti-Asian incidents and slurs there also go unaddressed. Have heard from DC that there are multiple antisemitic and anti-Asian issues that crop up each week but the teachers and the administration don't seem to care or understand.

I hadn't heard about the anti-Asian incidents. Can you provide links to stories in the local news?

Are you living in a bubble? There have been multiple ones, and both groups are being heavily targeted.

The only thing I've read about here is some people feel that the magnet program selection which is like 90%+ Asian discriminates against Asians.

Then, you are ignoring what is going on. Its been posted here many times.

Must've missed it. Can you enlighten me?

A punishment for all bad behavior needs to be defined and followed.

Visiting a museum is about as helpful as restorative justice.

You expelled them or you put them at an alternative school for kids with behavioral problems.

This is the wrong response. That would just be feeding into the hatred.

So, instead, you ignore the issue and send a kid to a museum for two hours and make it unsafe for our kids to attend school with them? No, enough is enough.

It is unbelievable this kind of thing is happening.

This is an example of diverting attention from the current issue or issues many around-the-world seem to be having with Jewish people. I doubt that such a measure would be effective, but I do not know what causes people to be anti-Semitic. I can guess, but it would just be a guess.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why others feel & demonstrate such hatred toward those of the Jewish faith ? Is it based on a hatred of Isreal's occupation of territory in the Middle East ?

Thank you in advance as I am clueless as to why this appears to be sweeping the world.

Hm. Let's just think a little bit here. Maybe we can come up with a flaw in that theory.

I vaguely recall antisemitism pre-dating the existence of Israel or its occupation of lands. Maybe, I don't know, the Holocaust. The inquisition. Innumerable pogroms through Europe over the centuries. I could go on.

Kind of hard to blame things that happened centuries ago on Israel, no?

What's happening now is nothing more than a very long and consistent trend through history, worsened when things (the economy and more) are going poorly in society.

This has been an ongoing issue at the segregated schools which could be easily solved by increasing DIVERSITY!

If it makes any of you feel better, if there were more Jews in Arlington, there would probably be antisemitic stuff found there too.
The truth is, Bethesda-Chevy Chase has the population numbers that would be triggered by this stuff.

PP asked for links so they could educate themselves, not for you to point out how unaware they are.

This has to be the most bizarre question about race I've seen in a while. Are you saying that you understand why there is racism against Black, Hispanic, Asian people and others but not people of the Jewish faith?

By saying visit a museum is just pretending to do something about it. And, tours of concentration camps? We didn't have any in the US except for the Japanese camps and the have probably been long destroyed. That doesn't teach kids. Its starts with the adults - parent, teachers, school staff, those who run activities and those adults aren't going to change as they clearly don't care or don't see a need or feel the hatred.
