We went to grocery store and got $400 worth of food which will easily last 3 weeks. This includes meats, too.

Where are beans $4 a can? They are .72 a can at Lidl and .79 a can at Harris Teeter. Soup is definitely expensive but once you start making your own, you’ll never go back. My teens used love certain canned soups. After homemaking soup for a few years, I recently bought some canned, knowing we’d have a few rushed afternoons, and they said it was garbage.

You will Save a ton of money, have a massive amount for days, and having it 1000x tastier by making it yourself. Get an instapot (not evaporation of the liquid) and get prechopped items if you are rushed.

OP, I went to Whole Foods and spent $25 on something they called the Keto Family meal. It was several slices of broiled salmon and a bunch of sweet potatoes, broccoli, green beans. I added a baguette and we got meals for three people from it, plus two lunches. I thought it was much better and cheaper than takeout.
