This stuff happened when we went to college. My parents always taught us to only drink from closed containers, never set it down and if we do or we are concerned get a new one. Never take anything from a stranger.

It actually isn't a stupid idea for girls. Many do this or pregame in college to avoid getting drugged and raped - which happens much more than you think.

No more trash cans or coolers of jungle juice from our generation. Now everyone brings their own to keep themselves safe


I hadnt thought about the benefits. I feel like my boys started this in HS, though the name is new to me. (Not proud of it, but our reality). But my youngest hasn’t hit the drinking stage yet and I haven’t really talked to her about protecting herself at parties. Thanks for the reminder.

I don't understand why it's a gallon. Doesn't that encourage excess drinking, even if the alcohol is diluted?

Not the PP, but there is increased awareness of borging recently thanks to it trending on TikTok. Hence, more kids and more parents learning about it.


I think the increases awareness from tik tok is with high school kids. Once they get to college they learn by seeing it everywhere. We learned about it when we went to visit our kid when she was a freshman.

It might a good idea to educate your kids about "Medical Amnesty" laws at their college or in your area.

I have kids at 2 different colleges and both of them posted about their medical amnesty today on social media.
