Onlyfans or pornhub

I expect my team to be either asking for additional work or completing their other tasks faster.

We have quotas at my job. Typically we have 4 cases at a time and have to get a certain amount of work done. One of my employees was falling behind and had the oldest cases in the group, so I stopped assigning him new work. I expected him to finish the older tasks quicker since he had no additional work. Nope. It meant he stopped working all together and he got put on a PIP.

Catch up on my photobook projects. Added bonus that my mouse keeps moving so it looks like I am green on Teams.

Get to all those "if only I had time tasks". For me that is often organizing my files, emails etc. Take classes- we have all kinds of stuff offered through LinkedIn learning. I start to organize for the busy times - there are always things that need to be thought thru - updated etc - for me I have several presentations I have to make monthly - so I spend more time updating my slides, re-thinking how to present them better. I rarely get to a point that I'm bored or "stealing" company time. I also enjoy having time to catch my breathe. I would worry however if the slow down extends too long - at that point I'd want to make sure I'm not being evaluated for a layoff.

Sit patiently with hands folded at my desk waiting for work.

What does growth potential look like?

I hate being bored and I would wonder if I had outgrown my position/ if I could be making more.

If you don’t care about growth or money, pick up a hobby (exercise, reading, cooking, gardening, yoga, etc.) or or do a few chores around the home.

A situation almost like this is how a coworker was let go. She went on an extended leave to help her sick mother (her mom had cancer & surgery w/ complications) and the company brought in a temp. The temp kept asking for more to do and my coworker's boss realized that the position wasn't really needed. The position got eliminated, the work was distributed, and when the coworker came back she was given the option of joining the sales department or being let go. She was let go.

?? So just stay bored instead? Ask for more work so that you can get better experiences, and then use that to move to another job, OP. Get a detail into another unit if necessary.

My husband has this issue (and I'm jealous) and he goes on duolingo, or does laundry. Whatever.

I work on my side hustle. I resell stuff online. I use the slow periods during my week to take photos of the items I've purchased & list them for sale. It keeps me near my laptop in case anyone pings me.

I also play around on Sporcle.com a lot. I love doing the quizzes there & it keeps me mentally stimulated. Plus, again, I'm on my laptop in case I get pinged.

If I don’t have anything to do, I just do whatever I want and make sure I keep checking email periodically.
