Lmao
I laughed too.

This all sounds normal to me. - Mom of 2 older boys.

Totally normal.
Aside from a good diet, plenty of play/exercise time
We used a consequence chart to help work on the really annoying behaviors.
We chose 3 that were the most annoying or that were ones that set off others and then he got 6 strikes, first 3 with no consequence (verbally told or redirected) then 4 on 4, 5 and 6 increasingly “severe” Like, losing screen time, going to bed/room (that was a boring room without a lot of fun toys) immediately after dinner, etc. It helped so much.

A reward chart/ sticker chart was not something my son cared about.

It sounds pretty normal. Get him outside, somewhere he can run and be silly. They do grow out of it. Eventually.

I didn't let him yell and scream inside. Or run. For a while he could be pretty destructive with toys so I kept an eye on that.

Mine did have trouble with food dyes, before it was the cool thing. Watching that and giving him a lot of water and protein helped dial it down a couple of notches.

Sounds very normal to me. My older DS seemed to settle down more in late elementary.

Sports really help with this issue BTW- I figure if they are going to be energetic and active with friends, might as well learn something at the same time (and do it outside of my house lol). Rec leagues- soccer basketball etc- are great for this age.

Lol same, same... my second grade boy is a nut and has been for at least a year, probably more like 2 years.

Parent of a third grader here .... same. Well, it is has improved - he can dial it back when needed. But still loves the potty humor, gets crazy with friends though not out of control crazy like he did in first grade, and still has an obscene amount of energy coupled with lack of focus on homework.

So it does get better. Very slowly!

My 7yo was just diagnosed with ADHD. The big thing with him is he CANNOT calm himself down or dial it back once he's wound up.

Contrary to what society in 2023 thinks, this is 100% Normal! Run him - tag you're it or otherwise

Yes, my almost 7 year old does this. Shouting, silly faces, annoying sounds, and fart noises.

Now think of how your kids teachers feel with 25 of them for 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week. It is exhausting.

It’s exhausting but also fun and I love it (most days)

Totally normal for us, but my 7 year old does have diagnosed adhd. But I notice his friends who I think are NT have similar personalities, lots of silliness and lots of energy. They usually know how to dial it back before my son does though. Boys that age are a lot to handle.
