Then they are behind.
Actual MSDE is behind.
MSDE should change the requirement so '25 does not have to deal with this nonsense!
+1 How the heck can they make it a requirement when they don't even have the curriculum. Seriously?
They have in-person curriculum. MSDE’s schedule for the online curriculum has always been for summer 2024.
This is the 3rd or 4th thread on this in the past few months. It time to get over it. There is no online Health B summer 2023. The state isn’t going to change the requirement. Move on.
So, they already have the in-person curriculum? Considering our recent experience with covid and virtual learning, one would think while developing the curriculum they would take into consideration - side by side - having to deliver it online as well? Just wondering ...
So why isn’t it being offered in person? It’s not at my kids school.

Did MCPS actually announce that Health B is available this summer in person? Any links?
Thanks!

And they can’t/won’t even say for certain when it will be available in summer school or virtually. My IB diploma-track sophomore is still in limbo, both schedule-wise and summer job-wise, with regard to their next two years.
Mine too. The thought of squeezing this class in and then having to take another arts class to balance the year is infuriating. Health/ceramics or econA/econB. I even emailed msde a few months ago and they indicated it would be available in person this summer, but no guarantees for online option.
If they want Econ why can't they take Econ A and Health?

Anonymous wrote:Sorry because I'm sure this is covered somewhere but I've not seen it. Are rising freshmen allowed to take Health A? (When there was only one health semester, you had to wait a year...)
