My problem with the caucus is in a heavily Democratic county, like Arlington or Alexandria, you can only run with the backing of the Democratic party. It prevents any Executive office federal employees forom running as they cannot caucus. I am a lifelong Democrat, but I don't believe in a one party system in Arlington and Alexandria.
