Amazing movie. This is your answer OP.

Little Women (1994 and 2019)
The Man in the Moon
Dirty Dancing
Edge of Seventeen
Fly Away Home
Mermaids
Harriet the Spy (DS loves this too)
Thirteen
Lucas
Tall Girl and Tall Girl 2
Juno
13 going on 30
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
I also thought they would love the John Hughes movies, which are pretty tame in retrospect, but they didn't really "get" them. Sentimental for me though.
I love this movie.Anonymous wrote:The Man in the Moon (Reese Witherspoon's film debut)

+1 to the bolded. A few of the listed movies are more sexual than I’m comfortable showing an 11-year-old. Sisterhood is a great movie (and book), but Blake Lively’s character sleeps with her soccer coach at summer camp. The emotional aftermath is portrayed well and you may find it beneficial for your child to see that.
