Is the shop called rt 1 or you mean any independent shop on rt 1? Independent shops where I live charge more than NTB

And while I was there a courier limped in, Fedex I think with a flat, it was like a nascar pit crew in the parking lot. He had a new tire on there and was gone..

2. Homie's tires/El nuevo llantas. Etc..These places can be really good if for no other reason than you are there like 10 minutes if you go at the right time. No frills, no stems, no sensors, no alignment bullshtt. Some literally change your tires with you in the car. And the prices are LOW... Brands will be less common but I just replaced a set of Kenda I had for years that wore fine. Also they often have take-offs that are even cheaper if you want some used tires or just need 1 or 2...

Are you in DMV? What are these places?

Route 1 in 22309. Probably lots of other places.

PP just means independent shops.

Rt 1 in MD too. And lots other places. Between College Park and Laurel on Rt 1 there must be a dozen or more. Last time I had to hit a couple before I found the size needed. Just pull in, the boss will see what size you have, ask you how many, and new or used?, then goes and sees what they have and gives you an OTD price. No upsells, no road hazard scams, no "TPMS needs replacing", no BS in my experience.

1. Walmart if you want a name store.

3. Costco. If you insist on doing the dance and getting Michelin or whatever, costco is a good idea.

4. Anywhere else? Prepare for the "free inspection" that finds $1000 of related or unrelated work you "need". Last time I went to NTB was 7+ years ago. Told me I needed new struts, they were "leaking". 70K later I have the same struts...

Sam's does the same.

Just paid $20 for the higher membership and saved 40 on the tires.

Sams Club is cheaper than Walmart if you have the higher membership because installation is $10/tire.

As someone looking for tires, thanks on the Walmart tips. Has anyone had any issues with the quality of installation? Or is it pretty legit?

Walmart is the only answer to this question. Always walmart for tires.
