The person that has had more sex than I think anybody else I know had a waterbed, so it can be done. My DH’s good friend from college had a king-sized waterbed. We helped him move it like five times.

How was he able to get any leverage when in the midst of going at it???

Nobody’s wants to rent to someone with a water bed. The benefit goes to the sleeper and the risk goes to the landlord. They were strictly for homeowners. No idea about the second floor.

Had one in high school in the 90s. It also had a heater so I would turn the heater on while I was getting ready for bed and then be able to climb into a nice, warm bed!!
Thanks for the memory OP!

Anonymous wrote:I desperately wanted one in middle school in the ‘80s and my parents let me use my own money to buy one. It was okay - a little weird and sloshy, and got super cold in New England in winter when the power went out - had to sleep on the couch those nights.

I think I kept it for a year and then went back to my normal mattress. I still remember that it cost $138.

Are you me? Same age, same location and same bed I think!

Honestly, if I laid down on a waterbed now, I'd never be able to get back up out of it LOL I'd need a Hoyer lift haha

I resent that waterbeds went out of fashion when I became an adult.

I have my Sleep Number bed set to 95. A water bed would be hell for me.
