I do yoga, barre and pilates and have found all 3 do really good things for my 50+ bod.

Pilates has been amazing for me, specifically:

Rock hard abs
Healed all body pain including years of back pain
Strong hips
Completely reshaped my legs
Helps me be “in my body” like nothing else

Pilates hasn’t done as much for my glutes as Barre does and I find that neither gives me the upper body workout I’d like but they’re both great when paired with cardio

Forma pilates online is amazing. I have a reformer and do only reformer work so I cannot opine on the mat classes but the reformer classes are harder than the toughest classes at either Club Pilates or Potomac Pilates (I have done both).
