I never tried and just assumed my application went into a black hole.

From the hiring side- it's not clear to me either when candidates receive notices from usa jobs. I try not to click anything until I have the candidate I have interviewed and want to hire.

There is an Acting Director listed on the agency website.


If it’s on the announcement then you can contact them.


I did, no response yet. My point is that there is someone in the advertised position as “Acting” so I’m thinking the announcement is a formality. But who knows?
