Exceptionalism and Merit seem to be his focus, and I will gladly applaud his efforts. Chances are no one else will.
I would if merit were real, but it isn't. Merit means everyone gets the same chance and opportunity to compete, which they don't. Merit means there is no more legacy or athletics special treatment. America thrives on special treatment and calls it merit.

Forget it. She's not happening, period
You assume too much. She is not really running for President. She is running to be DeSantis's VP.
Her role is to attack Trump while he stays above the fray to keep Trump's base on his side.
He will brag about how he didn't lockdown Florida, while she attacks Trump for pursuing lockdowns and criticizing governors who ended lockdowns.

I think you're underestimating him. He speaks to millions of people with his messaging about exceptionalism and merit. I don't think he'll be the nominee because he's unknown, but I will absolutely be rooting for him.

Im a dem but this country needs to get back to personal responsibility and pride in our individual and collective achievements. Thats what speaks to me. I guess Id probably be labeled a libertarian these days. But self sufficiency and personal responsibility makes us great. We need to be empowering people, not blaming others.
This country has never been about personal responsibility. Many of our "collective achievements" were built on the back of slaves. Once slavery ended, through Jim Crow, redlining, and legal and tacit discrimination we found a way to ensure that Black Americans (and many other non-white immigrants, though discrimination against Black Americans has always been the worst) would not get the same opportunities as other Americans and that they'd be relegated to low-paying, menial jobs.
We only started talking about "personal responsibility" when many of the above racist laws were declared unconstitutional. Before that, it was about knowing your place.
