Do it! Look up a few drills to practice and have fun. This isn't weird at all.

No it’s only weird if youre sitting on a bench in a playground watching the kids if you don’t have any of your own kids.

I love to play on theb playground equipment. When my kids age out I might need to quit my job and become a nanny.

I recognize that I am weird.

The field or ball court is a lot less weird.

Go early if you feel self conscious.
Nothing like seeing the sun come up while you are practicing. Watch out for dew.

It's not weird at all. If you see kids playing soccer nearby, ask them to teach you a few things. My kids go to the park a lot to play soccer and they are good and would jump at the chance to teach someone some skills.

I think it's great!

If someone thinks it’s weird, that’s their problem and it says more about them than you.

Guy in our neighborhood used to run around with a bar/stick and stop at his "places" to do his calithenics. I thought is was weird until I saw what he was doing (b/c why does a big, fit man need this stick to run with??)

Somebody might think you are weird the first time they see you, then they are going to get to know you, and then they'll start to expect you out with your soccer ball after a couple of weeks!!

Get ready to talk to all the neighborhood folks!

Are you saying only kids can play at public fields? Not talking about schools that have fields?

What? No, I was saying the only time I would even notice an adult on a sports' field would be if it was specifically for kids, e.g. the basketball court inside the fence at my local elementary school (where we do get adults coming to shoot hoops and it's never an issue and I don't mind especially since they're very careful of the kids). Public fields not associated with schools/daycares/kid specific activities I would not really notice an adult exercising with a soccer ball. Since soccer is a team game I might idly wonder if there was a pickup game at that park, but that's about the extent of it.

Not weird at all, and who cares.

I often bring some stuff to a local park while my kid is at softball practice. I probably look ridiculous doing box jumps onto a park bench, but who cares

No, why would it be?

Only weird if you got no foot skills at all. LOL.
