LOL, why TF would you buy a gun instead of a new front door? You need help.

+ 1 We are also elevated so people can only see in if they are at the door. The door faces the stairs and hall. We love the extra light. It is only annoying if I am already dressed for bed and then realize I need to get something from downstairs or if my kid takes a shower and comes up in a towel. It also means you can’t delay opening the door if neighbor or friends show up, you have to open whether you are ready or not. But overall it is fine.
How long would you keep people waiting on your porch if you didn't have a glass door?

Anonymous wrote:My neighbors put them in during a recent renovation. DH and I have talked about how ridiculous they are. Although I love the look, there’s no privacy - we can see everything when we walk by taking our dog out. Their dog loves it, though, and always sits right in front of them.

Aside from the privacy part, the doors are not safe. As in glass makes it flimsy.
We changed our door with a solid core and a speakeasy. Two deadbolts and a handle lock. No one is getting in.
