Two things can be true. It can be true that Hillary was too soft with juveniles and not the best leader but that Lindsay could have some grudge against her and saw the opportunity to move a weak person out. I heard when Hillary got there, some people left abruptly

Hilary, it’s been 6 months, not really enough time to fix the effects of letting every kid stay in the community no matter what their history was and what crimes they committed. Find another job, maybe one that just focuses on social work.

As the former GC and Deputy Director of DYRS, and the Deputy Mayor of Public Safety, she would have known better than anyone if Hilary Cairns’ approach was too soft and detrimental to public safety, so props to her for actually advocating for something to be done.
