I would ask your son to tell you about the book. Act interested. Ask follow up questions. Discuss the book. Either he read the book and this will be an easy conversation or he skimmed the book and he is going to have to be creative in his answers. Either way he is still not looking at a screen and the next time he has to read a book he might try to remember some more details. If you want to take it up a notch read a few of the books yourself so you can really have a good conversation.
