I use it:

- to place a Starbucks order as I approach on a long walk
- right before I take off in the car so it's ready on time (leaving work, at home before I pick up lunch or dinner)
- sometimes I enter the order and have my kid effect ehe purchase if I am driving and I am not ready to order yet before I start the car

All the time!

Sorry you can’t imagine that other people don’t take the highway everywhere. I can literally pull over behind some parked cars along my route and place my Starbucks/pizza/sandwich order and be back on my route in a couple seconds. If it doesn’t work for you, shrug, ok then.

Ok. I don't work in an area where there's empty parking spaces and and can't imagine anywhere in DC where that's a thing.

Yes, I know that your imagination is limited. You even said that in your OP. I live and work in DC and also wear reading glasses and I still manage to save time using mobile ordering. It clearly doesn’t work for you and you aren’t interested in making it work, so why are you continuing to post?

We dont know anything about your route or WTF you live, so how on earth could we answer this? If you don't know how to pull over to use your phone, I just dont know what to tell you.

Maybe you missed the actual question. Here, let me help you. How is having to pull off the road and get your phone out of your purse/console any faster than ordering in person?

Let ME help you. Pulling over behind a parked car takes 15 seconds, ordering takes 30 and pulling back out takes another 15. Less than a minute. VERSUS going into a Starbucks, waiting in line and waiting for your order takes at least 5-10 mins!

+1 This isn’t rocket science. Place before you go. Place in between errands when parked. Or pull over.

I guess it is to me. Pull over...where? How do you account for traffic that might force you to leave your drink sitting there for 20+ minutes after it's made?
Oh boy. Life is tough for you I see.

Yes. I have intractable depression, and scheduling like this is tough. Does mocking me make you feel like a big person?

Depression means you can’t use common sense?

Also no where in DC is there not a Starbucks closer than 15 mins as you claim.

LOL. What? In traffic, you're absolutely wrong.

It takes seconds to order via the app. How long does it take to stand in line, order, and wait for your order?

Not if you have to pull into a parking lot and park, get out the phone, find reading glasses, and order. What am I missing?

The Starbucks app is awesome. I don't have many food apps on my phone, but my college kid and spouse suggested it as one to have. I use it. You get points for every mobile order, get a free drink after collecting a number of points. You can use your phone to pay for the order, too. You don't have to place the order over your app, you can just pay for it at the counter by having the employee scan your phone.
