Yep, it’s rare that you’ll find someone who wants to do a meal’s worth of pots, pans, and dishes by hand. Unless we have a big dinner part, we don’t need to chill more wine than fits in our regular fridge and even then, we would have a huge number of dishes to wash.

2. Most people would prefer the dishwasher (I don't drink wine or beer and use my dishwasher daily), but this is a quick and easy switch, OP. It's not like you're renovating with a dominatrix theme, complete with chains hanging from the ceiling!

Nobody wants a wine fridge. At our school auction we had two donated, nobody bid on them.

I had a tenant leave one behind in a rental house, along with a bunch of other stuff. I put it all out on the curb with a sign that said "Free." The wine fridge was the only thing not taken. I had to pay to have it hauled away, and it was expensive because it contained refrigerant.

I don't see this as a big deal for resale so long as you can swap it out easily. If the fridge fits into the same space as a dishwasher and you just cap the water line, seems like you just buy a cheapo dishwasher when it is time to sell.
