How much homework at BCC do kids have? I read there are 7 periods with no study halls and 45 min all school lunch. Sounds chaotic !

Personal finance is a requirement- not an elective in FCPS.

Well MCPS doesn’t care if our students have basic finance and math skills to help them in life. They prefer Calculus which we all use in our every day lives.

Oh snap! FYI, kids enrolled in calculus do have 'basic math skills' and I'm sure they'd be able to figure out 'basic finance' in their 'ever day' lives.

That could not be further from the truth. I have seen kids in advance math not understand unit prices, how to quickly figure out a top in their head, understand company’s interest, understand stocks, how to write a check or balance a checking account and definitely not know how student loans work and take up so much beyond their means. Middle class families in debt up to their eyeballs.
